Conditions of Sales

  1. Items would be sold in lot numbers to the highest bidder.
  2. The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid whether or not it is the highest.
  3. Should a fair opening bid not be realized the Auctioneer has the right to withdraw an item from the sale.
  4. An amount of Pula is to be paid in advance as a refundable deposit enabling prospective bidders to enter the auction yard and take part in the auction.
  5. The Buyer shall acquaint himself with the item he wishes to purchase at the sale.
  6. Payment must be made by cash or bank certified cheques immediately after the auction.  Any successful bidder who fails to make payment immediately will lose the deposit paid to Auctioneers Botswana and those items not paid for will be re-auctioned immediately or at a later date to be decided by the Auctioneer.
  7. All items sold are to be removed from the premises as directed and neither Auctioneers Botswana nor their client shall be responsible for the safety of goods purchased.  The ownership of items not removed within seven days after the sale will revert back to the seller without any compensation to the Buyer.  No refund of money will be made.
  8. Items are offered “as is condition” without any warranty expressed or implied.
  9. The transfer of ownership shall pass from Seller to Buyer at the fall of the hammer.
  10. Both risk and benefit shall pass from Seller to Buyer at the fall of the hammer.
  11. Both the Seller and the Buyer shall acquaint themselves with the conditions of the sale, prior to the sale.
  12. Should a dispute arise between two bidders the Auctioneer shall at his discretion cancel the sale and re-start the bidding.
  13. All items are to be sold by Auction.
  14. Only once the sale has been completed may the Buyers remove their purchases.
  15. The word of the Auctioneer is final.
  16. Bidders who were not successful in any bid should collect their deposits before leaving the premises.
